#SURVIVOR

Participants of #SURVIVOR have the unique opportunity to help spread awareness and raise money for the Wichita Family Crisis Center, a local domestic violence shelter in Wichita. Teams of 8 and maximum 12 compete to win the title of this year’s #SURVIVOR flag football Champions. All of the proceeds will go to the Wichita Family Crisis Center.

Take Back the Night

Take Back the Night rallies and marches represent the earliest worldwide stand against sexual violence. With the first rally and march happening in Belgium and England in the 1960s, the event has spread to over 36 countries in over 800 communities. Syzters participate and facilitate an activity at WASAC’s Take Back the Night Rally along with other Greek members from various councils.

Red Flag Campaign

The Red Flag Campaign uses a bystander intervention strategy to address and prevent sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking on college campuses. The campaign encourages folks to say something when they see warning flags (“red flags”) in a relationship. During the Red Flag Campaign, Sigma Psi Zeta has shared red flags designed by Greek organizations on campus.  People are encouraged to vote for the best design and the winning organization will win a gift certificate for a prize.

Clothesline Project

The Clothesline Project is a national campaign that serves to bring a visual reminder of statistics we often ignore. Its mission is “to educate students and the community that violence is a problem everywhere, help is available, there is hope and a path to healing.” Sigma Psi Zeta’s hope is that everyone we’ve interacted with continues to learn, be proactive and be advocates of sexual assault.

Our Mural

“Community is more than just volunteering. It’s about cultivating a culture where everyone feels loved and supported to be the best person they can be.”
