Our Story
Sigma Psi Zeta is a progressive, multicultural Greek Organization. We are a cultural, social, educational and community service oriented sorority, the first Greek-lettered sorority of its kind to be established on the East Coast. It stands today as one of the largest and most distinguished Asian Interest sororities in the nation. Sigma Psi Zeta was founded on March 23, 1994 and incorporated on March 15, 1996. The Alpha Theta Chapter was established at Wichita State University in Wichita, KS on November 16, 2013 by 10 strong, dedicated womxn.

Our National History
Sigma Psi Zeta was formally establsihed at the University at Albany, State University of New York on March 23rd, 1994.
Our Founding Mothers observed that of the existing Greek Letter organizations already established at the university, none were able to provide the kind of community they sought. No existing organization could nurture the bonds of sisterhood beyond the collegiate experience while focusing on the unique needs of a newly emerging multicultural population. Our founders set out to meet the needs of this demographic by creating a new syzterhood.
